Liquid Vinyl wishes with the utmost of gratitude to thank everybody who came out last Friday night for The Great Halloween Funktober Fest. I think we can all agree that this was our funkiest, fest-iest party yet. You guys went all out on the costumes and quite frankly, it was beautiful.

As proof, photos are now posted here for your viewing pleasure. No doubt, you will find yourself doing something embarrassing. For those that couldn’t be there, check out the pics and it’s like you’re actually at the party—minus the DJ and free booze of course.

Stay tuned. News of our Winter Party is on the way. Thanks for dressing up, coming out and throwing down. Can’t wait to see you at the next one!

Much Love,
Liquid Vinyl.
—————————-

As always, a huge thanks goes out to Philadelphia Brewing Company. As one of our most loyal sponsors, their continued support shows their strong commitment to the community and gets you drunk. Thank them by ordering any of Philadelphia Brewing Company’s fine beers next time you’re out on the town.

Special thanks also to our sponsors, whose generosity made our ridiculous costume contest possible. We sent our guests home with gift certificates good at an array of the finest local dining establishments. Show your appreciation by visiting For Pete’s Sake (Front & Christian), Coquette Bistro & Raw Bar (5th Bainbridge), The Philadelphia Java Company (2nd & Christian or 4th & Lombard) and Bridget Foy’s South St. Grill (2nd & South).

Another thanks goes out to DJ Frosty who, quite simply, made the party. As usual, Frosty did not play a wrong note, rocking the freakiest dancefloor ever until well after 2AM.

A huge thanks to Howie and Kelani for the awesome new website. Once again, you can check out photos here for this and past events. To learn more about our web-designers and hosts, visit Echoability.com

Thanks as always to J. Tomar for the poster and all other graphic art affiliated with Liquid Vinyl. J is the visionary behind our look. Always look for J’s posters, which are free at our events. If you have missed any posters for events you’ve attended in the past, they will soon be available for purchase on our website.

And of course, we could not do it without the Liquid Vinyl event staff. Thanks to the efforts of Kelly, Laura, Bree, Heather, Nick, Casey, Michelle, Matt, Jamie, Natalie and Max. Thanks also to Mike Thomas, Avi Lebovic, Scott Reddy, Eric Yorker, Havi Elkaim and anybody else who pitched in during the evening. Thanks to Derek, Noah, Mike and Hilary for the promotion efforts.

As always, you all are the heart, soul, spinal column and all other vital organs that make Liquid Vinyl work.

On Friday, October 31st, you are cordially invited to the Ratskeller bar and dungeon located beneath the creepy halls of the German Society of Pennsylvania. (Free parking lot). The German Society is located at 7th and Spring Garden, right next door to Edgar Allen Poe’s house.

DJ Frosty, who rocked audiences between sets at this summer’s Jam on the River, is on the decks all night. No bullshit. Just a balls-to-the-wall, open-bar dance party and soul train. And because it is Halloween, we are fully committed to all related themes such as scary paganism, candy and indiscretion with masked strangers.

Oh there is just one more thing. Your costume had better not suck!! It goes without saying that we will be holding a costume contest with completely arbitrary rules and fabulously modest prizes. Therefore, we would very strongly urge to you to spare no effort, imagination or freakiness in this regard.

Doors open at 9PM and drinks go on ‘til they’re gone. Get your tickets in advance as space is limited. $25 now and $30 at the door.

Also, this Halloween, we will be making a contribution to food bank and hunger relief group, Philabundance. Therefore, please bring a canned food that you or your family would considerable edible so we can all do something nice for the community.

Thanks to all for coming out to Liquid Vinyl’s
Summer Solstice Party on Saturday, June 21st.
Your support and binge drinking helped to make it a great night!

To those who were unable to make it, this is your unofficial early notice:
Liquid Vinyl’s HALLOWEEN party is just around the corner!!
For now though, just enjoy the summer. We’ll see you when the leaves start changing.

Love,
Liquid Vinyl Productions.

Acknowledgments:
Thanks to the Liquid Vinyl ground-crew for keeping it all together.
Matt, Jamie, Havi, Danny, Heather and Kelly, we couldn’t do it without you.
Thanks to Bree for taking on the duties of emcee.
You were a spark in between the bands all night long.

Thanks to J. Tomar for all the killer graphic artwork on the website
and in print. (To our guests; if you did not get yourself a copy of the
event poster on the way out this past Saturday, let me know.
We have a few extras.) Also, look for J’s most recent work, designing
the cover for Ladyfingers’ brand new album, “My Handbook.”

Thanks to our sound man, Josh Madoff. Josh continues to be one of the most
important aspects of our success. This showed on Saturday night with a sound
that was clear as a bell and catastrophically huge at the same time.

Thanks to Jim, Paula and the whole staff at Old Swedes, who pitched in
with security, setup and cleanup. Once again, you have been most flexible
and accommodating for us.

A big thanks to all the bands who participated. Thanks again to Ladyfingers
and Dillon Minacci for killer sets. And a big thanks to Nervous Cabaret.
Their appearance was a triumphant first outing with Liquid Vinyl
and we look forward to bringing them back.

And of course, thanks to all our sponsors, who made this night possible.
Thanks to For Pete’s Sake, who will always host our after-parties.
Thanks again to Philadelphia Brewing Company for the quality beer,
to Center City Soft Pretzel Co. for the local delicacies and to Bluebond Guitar
for the great sound equipment.

And naturally, thanks to all of you, who showed up, spread the word
and even read this far through the acknowledgements.
Your support is the heart and soul of Liquid Vinyl.
